Family Recovery Support Program

When substance use enters a family, parents often don’t know how to respond, and children tend to withdraw and shut down. Without support, both sides are left isolated with their fears — and the problem tends to grow over time.

Parents (Relatives)

- Behavioral patterns and common mistakes
- Codependency

- Recovery and healthy support

Children (loved one with addiction)

- Motivational Interviewing
- Self-awareness
- Motivation to seek help

Ways to give

Help a Family Find Their Way Back to Each Other

Your donation directly funds the Family Recovery Support Program — 5 to 8 sessions of parallel work with parents and children navigating the impact of addiction within their family. This isn’t a one-time fix; it’s structured support: parents learn to recognize codependency and shift behavioral patterns, while children gain space for self-awareness and the motivation to seek help.

Every donation represents a specific family given the chance to rebuild trust and healthy relationships — instead of facing the crisis alone.

Sub-points (can be icon list):

  • Your gift covers real sessions with qualified facilitators
  • The program is grounded in evidence-based methods (Motivational Interviewing, psychoeducation)
  • BY Connect is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit with over 23 years serving

Trust line under button: 100% transparency — your donation goes directly to working with families.

Testimonials

What our Clients say
About us

My husband struggled with serious addiction for many years. It seemed like there was no way out. But I decided to start with myself — I joined the program, followed the steps and principles, and slowly began to change from within. And then something incredible happened: my husband started his own journey to recovery. Today we have a happy, loving family. I am endlessly grateful for this support.

Process

Family Recovery Support Program Format

5–8 Sessions

This program is structured as a full course, not a single conversation. Over 5 to 8 sessions, families have the time to move beyond simply discussing the problem — gradually working through behavioral patterns, codependency, and learning new ways to support one another, step by step, at their own pace.

Individual or Group Format

We understand every family has different needs and comfort levels. The individual format is ideal if privacy and one-on-one attention matter most to you. The group format offers additional support — the chance to see you’re not alone, and to learn from other families navigating a similar path.

Parallel Work With Parents and Children

Unlike programs that work with only one side of the family, here parents (relatives) and children (loved one with addiction) attend sessions at the same time, but on separate tracks. Parents work through their behavioral patterns and codependency, while children build self-awareness and motivation to seek help. This approach creates a stronger foundation for change across the whole family.

FAQS

You have to know before
start everything

The first step is to recognize that the problem also exists in your own behavior. Only by changing yourself can you truly influence the healing of your whole family. Recovery begins with you.

Yes, you can. Denial is very common — most people struggling with addiction are not ready to admit it. But here is the powerful truth: when you start changing yourself, your loved one begins to feel it. Your personal transformation becomes the strongest motivation for their recovery. You don’t need to wait for them to be ready — start with yourself, and change will follow.

You don’t have to figure it out alone. Feeling lost is the most common place people find us — and it’s actually the perfect place to begin. Sign up for a free diagnostic consultation and together we will see your first steps toward healing. Hope is closer than you think.

Yes, absolutely. We have a prevention program focused on building and restoring healthy relationships with your children. Strong, trusting family bonds are the most natural and powerful protection against bad influences and addiction. When children feel truly connected to their family, they are far less likely to seek belonging in the wrong places.
